ducktails - art vandelay

melodic and soothing, ducktails’ most recent release, ducktails III: arcade dynamics sounds like an experiment in vintage, lo-fi recording with concentrated yet subtle blasts of synthy electro pop back beats. helmed by matt mondanile (of real estate), it’s apparent that the guitar propels this album weaving in and out of each track sometimes as a deliberate compliment to the vocals but most of the time running off on its own undefined, unstructured tangent. makes for perfect sunday morning rain music.
